If you're looking for a snowy slope, then you have come to the right place.
Thredbo has terrain to suit all levels. Whether you are a beginner learning on
the gentle slope of Friday Flat, stepping it up a gear at the Cruiser
intermediate area or having a crack on some of the most advanced terrain in
the country Thredbo has trails for all standards.
First Time Taking your first slippery slides on the snow? Head straight to Friday Flat, Thredbo's purpose built beginners area. It's has a good pitch so you get a move along but gentle enough so those first timer tumbles are all part of the fun. There's even a slow speed quad chair and Snow Runner conveyer to take you to the top so learning in Thredbo is a breeze. To make sure you progress quickly, Thredbo offers first timers a lift and lesson deal, that includes a 2 hour lesson and an all mountain lift pass. Intermediates Blue Run Bliss Now you have the hang of linking turns its time to get into the 67% of Thredbo's terrain that's dedicated to intermediates. The Cruiser area has long wide tree-lined trails and it is just for cruising. With the groomers on the job nightly smoothing the trails, you can easily work on perfecting those new found skills. The high-speed Cruiser Chairlift is your lift of choice, where you can rest your legs before your next snowy adventure. When you're ready to step up a level the long and varied terrain on the Supertrail and High Noon are sure to provide plenty of thrills, or head on over to Central Spur and check out Antons and Sponars. Advanced Then when you're laying them over with confidence, it's time to wind it up a gear. It's a fresh feeling all mountain advanced riders live for..steep, deep turns, down testing terrain. Thredbo's off piste areas are up there with the best in the southern hemisphere. And we mean up there, Karels T-Bar takes you to the highest lifted point in the country and from there 672 vertical metres of snowy terrain awaits. There are wicked wind lips to snap down the Bluff, granite tors for taking air, Thredbo Gold (that's perfect stashes of windblown powder) and you'll never forget the freedom of fresh turns down Golf Course Bowl. Boarding Say bye bye traversing and hello downhill cruising... Thredbo has more vertical terrain than any other resort in Australia, that means more time spent riding than doing the old one foot shuffle to the next run. With Thredbo's many high-speed quad chairlifts you can rest your legs on the way up, as you prepare for your next mission on the down. Free-style From beginners learning to slide a rail to the most advanced ripping into 720 toxics and corked 900's you will love this mountain. There's not only terrain parks for every level, there's natural features galore. The mountain is full of jibbable off piste with wind-lips, eucalypts and granite tors to ride through. Fun Parks There's no hiding from new school snow riding, and here in Thredbo we've designed parks that are all about progression; to take you from those first time grinds to a full air assault. The kids can kick off their freestyle endeavour at Wombat World on Friday Flat. For those older kids, there's the Beginners Park at the Cruiser filled with small rails and tabletops. Or what about the flowing line of boxes, rails and hits for intermediates at High Noon. Then when busting large is what you are after, head to the Nokia Advanced Park, it has the big hits and kinky combo's to test the best. Keep an eye out for the rider cross which is loads of fun whether you are on two boards or just one. Maintenance The Terrain Parks are maintained by a team of riders who love parks and love Thredbo, they are proud of their work and it shows in the product. These guys are out every day ensuring the best conditions for riding, sliding, grinding and launching it large. Thredbo also has a Park Bully groomer and a designated team of drivers to complement the park crew, so they can maintain, build and mount the snow park features. Beginner: 16% |
