Saalbach

Saalbach, crammed with character, is a typically “chocolate box” Tyrolean village.  Renowned for its excellent range of slopes and efficient lift systems connecting it to neighbouring Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn, Saalbach has something to suit everyone.  Saalbach is great for a first snow experience and the whole area is a paradise for intermediates.  Experts can head for the runs off Schattberg X-press or on a powder day try the tremendous off piste through the trees with a local guide.  The lively après-ski starts late afternoon in many of the 60 mountain restaurants and continues in the lively music bars in the village until the wee hours.
