Aspen

Aspen is consistently rated one of the world’s top ski areas and along with great skiing the town has so much to offer with its rich and vibrant history.  Originally a mining town, Aspen began attracting recreational skiers after the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid.  Comprised of four mountains; Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass, all on the one lift pass, making it one of the largest combined ski areas in North America.  The skiing is varied and can suit any level of skier as each Mountain has its own character.  The Victorian style of this town will charm you with hundreds of shops to choose from.  These range from souvenir shops to designer boutiques and stunning art galleries.  People flock from around the world to enjoy high profile events such as the Winter X Games which take place at the end of January each year.  Enjoy the famous après ski bars or dine in world class restaurants.  Aspen is truly a world class resort, offering something for everyone.
