Mammoth

The summit of Mammoth sits at 3369 metres, the highest in California.  This makes for plentiful and consistent snow, making it ideal for all skill levels.  There are easy blue runs, great for intermediates and 15% expert terrain for the more advanced.  Snowboarders will appreciate the lack of traversing while skiers and snowboarders alike will love spending more time descending rather than hunting for a slope to ride down.  Mammoth offers seven parks, three half pipes, cross country skiing, snowmobiles, snowcat tours, a scenic gondola, tubing and an adaptive ski school.  There are over 30 kilometres of freshly groomed skating and classic snowshoe trails set in the tranquil, tree-lined backcountry of Mammoth.  Après options include wine bars, a brewery, a family style Irish pub, a raging night club and more.
