Sun Valley

The oldest ski resort in USA, Sun Valley was born out of a desire to bring the magic of European ski resorts to America.  The first two chairlifts in the world were built in Sun Valley in 1936.  Baldy Mountain is a majestic peak towering above the town of Ketchum with long bump runs and fast groomers stretching the full 3400 vertical feet.  Dollar Mountain, a five minute shuttle ride from Ketchum, is the beginner’s hill and where the kids ski school is based.  Ketchum has a wide range of restaurants to suit every taste and budget.
