If you pine for powder then make tracks for Fernie.  The terrain includes trails, bowls and acres and acres of tree skiing and riding.  Experts can disappear into extensive glades, drop big ridges, bomb chutes and cut fresh turns into powder; intermediates can get a feel for off piste and gladed terrain.  You can stay on mountain in lodges and condominiums or in the township of Fernie 5km away.  It is not a glitzy resort nor does it have a big nightlife but there is a good variety of restaurants and bars.  New for 2018-19, two popular runs, Arrow and Bow, will be widened for more space to ski and ride.

Why Fernie

Fernie offers a renowned snow record, quiet slopes, good intermediate and advanced skiing and some incredible powder bowls.

The legendary Griz, Sasquatch, and Ghostrider are all believed to live here so keep your eyes peeled!

Fernie is authentic, unpretentious and great value for money with quaint shops, unique places to dine and a classic ski-town night life atmosphere.
