Before departing for Whistler, we strongly suggest making restaurant and activity reservations in advance. It helps the business prepare and it will mean a more seamless experience. KEY COVID CONSIDERATIONS FOR VISITING WHISTLER
- Effective September 13, 2021, people aged 12+ must show proof of vaccination to access certain events, services and businesses in British Columbia, Canada.
- Fully vaccinated international travellers are permitted to enter Canada for leisure travel. All international travellers must meet Canada’s entry requirements. Full details are available at: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid
- International visitors must show the below to access certain events, services and businesses in BC:
- Proof of vaccination they used to enter Canada
- Passport
- International travellers will need to ensure they are informed and prepared for their country’s requirements for returning home from abroad when making travel plan
WHISTLER BLACKCOMB’S GUIDELINES
Whistler Blackcomb’s scheduled opening for the winter season is Thursday November 25.
Whistler Blackcomb remains committed to keeping guests safe this season and have included the following guidelines in their operating plans:
- Face coverings: Required for indoor settings, including on mountain restaurants, restrooms, and on enclosed gondolas.
- Dining reservations: Required to eat at many of the on mountain restaurants. Reservations will be available 24 hours in advance online.
- Proof of Vaccinations: Guests 12 + will be required to show proof of vaccination (ArriveCan App information & Photo ID is sufficient) to dine at indoor restaurants, restaurant patios and bars,
based on the order from the Provincial Health Authority. - Cashless Transactions: Cash will not be accepted at any Whistler Blackcomb outlet, including hotels, restaurants, snow school and retail stores.
- Employee Vaccinations: All Whistler Blackcomb employees are fully vaccinated.
- Whistler Blackcomb will not have a mountain reservation system this season and will load lifts and gondolas at normal capacity, optimizing guest movement around the resort.
