UTAH SKI DESTINATIONS
PARK CITY
Originally set up as a silver mining town, Park City became somewhat of a ghost town before re-inventing itself into one of North America’s most popular snow destinations. Located an easy 35-minute drive from Salt Lake City International Airport, Park City is nowadays home to two world-class resorts: Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort. Here you’ll find a thriving food and après scene, along with endless on and off mountain activities. It is also home to the annual Sundance Film Festival (which will take place from 20-30 January 2022).
Ranked as North America’s most accessible resort, Park City Mountain is famous for its excellent skiing and world class terrain. Part of Vail Resorts’ Epic Pass, Park City Mountain offers 3,000 hectares of skiable terrain and over 340 runs. When you combine the vast terrain with award-winning dining, family friendly activities, and one of the world’s most innovative and comprehensive ski and snowboard school programs, it’s easy to see why ‘There Is Only One. Park City’.
If you’re after impeccable customer service and consistently excellent skiing, look no further than Deer Valley Resort. Recognised as the first North American resort to provide a first class service, similar to what you’d expect at a five star hotel. A ski only resort, Deer Valley boasts groomed-to-perfection slopes, with 21 lifts, 103 ski runs, six bowls, gladed tree skiing spread over 820 hectares and an annual average of 762 centimetres of snow.

SKI CITY (SALT LAKE CITY)
Enjoy a different adventure every day at Ski City. Ten resorts are within an hour of Salt Lake City International Airport, meaning you can sample a variety of resorts during your stay. Ski City’s four resorts — Alta, Brighton, Snowbird, and Solitude — are only about 35-45 minutes from the airport, and each one of these legendary resorts receives an average of 500 inches (40 feet) of snow per year.
When the sun goes down and the ski slopes empty out, head downtown and soak up the metropolitan culture and nightlife of this world-class city. Salt Lake City offers high culture, entertainment, and a wide array of fine dining options.
The Salt Lake Ski Super Pass is your discounted lift ticket to Salt Lake’s four world-class resorts. With the super pass, you can bypass the ticket line at Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude. The Super Pass also includes your public transit fare (when ski bus is in service) and rental shop discounts.

ALTA
Open since 1938, Alta is one of the oldest ski areas in North America, attracting skiers of all ages and abilities – with an average of almost 14 meters of snow each season. Famous for its steep and challenging terrain, one of the area’s best kept secrets is the easily accessible beginner area in the Albion Basin. Intermediate skiers are also well catered for in the wide-open bowls created by glacier activity. One of only three ski areas in the country that don’t allow snowboarding, Alta is a skier’s only mountain.

BRIGHTON
Brighton is arguably Salt Lake’s most laid-back resort. Unpretentious and friendly, its sprawling runs attract a young crowd, many of which are snowboarders. Brighton has a well-deserved distinction of being the resort where more Salt Lakers learn to ski and ride. Why? A combination of lower ticket-prices, free skiing for kids age 10 and under, an appealing mix of beginner and expert terrain, wide, forgiving runs, and a mellow attitude. It’s also home to Ski City’s only night skiing, with more than 200 acres of lighted runs to keep you shredding long after the sun goes down.

SNOWBIRD
If you’re after an equal mix of adventure, architecture, and après, then Snowbird’s your pick of the bunch. If you love steep and deep, you’ll love Snowbird’s steep chutes and wide-open bowls. The Snowbird Aerial Tram, an engineering marvel in itself, lifts riders to 11,000 feet above sea level at the top of Hidden Peak. Stay and play for as long as you like since this resort is open the longest of any of Utah’s ski resorts. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the 168 runs and the 2,900-foot vertical drop.

SOLITUDE
Located in one of the snowiest canyons in North America and about 30 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, Solitude is where you will find pure, authentic, untarnished Utah snow. The 66 runs and three bowls are spread out over 1,200 acres, featuring 20 percent beginner, 50 percent intermediate, and 30 percent advanced terrain. Less crowded than other resorts, here you can take a breather as you explore the vast network of snowshoe and cross-country trails, graze on delicious food or sip on a fine wine beside a cosy fireplace. You’ll find serenity at Solitude.

OGDEN | POWDER MOUNTAIN | SNOWBASIN
Steeped in rich frontier history, Ogden has been ranked by Powder Magazine as the #1 Ski Town in the U.S. This family-friendly, world-class winter recreation destination is located just 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. Play in 450 inches of The Greatest Snow on Earth at Ogden’s three nearby resorts, including Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, and Nordic Valley. All three of these Ogden ski resorts welcome both skiers and snowboarders, with powder stashes, back country acres and terrain parks.

ROAD TRIPPING AROUND UTAH
A nature lover’s paradise, Utah is far more than just an incredible ski destination. If time allows, add a few days before or after your ski adventure and head off on a road trip and be wowed by the natural beauty that awaits you. Wind your way through The Mighty Five® national parks, seven national forests, 46 state parks and quirky mountain towns that are full of character. Each journey is a photographer’s paradise, a hiker’s nirvana, a Western historian’s feast, and a geologist’s dream world.
