Appi Kogen
Appi Kogen is one of Japan’s best kept secrets. Located approximately three and a half hours by bullet train and bus from Tokyo, at the northern end of Honshu, the resort’s north facing slopes keep the snow in top condition throughout the season. On average, more than eight metres of dry powder snow falls each season. The resort is known for its quality of grooming and its wide variety of terrain that accommodates all abilities, but is especially great for beginner and intermediate skiers/boarders. Some runs are left ungroomed allowing plenty of opportunity for exploring with a guide. Families are well looked after at Appi Kogen, with English speaking instructors, kids’ activities and kindergarten facilities. The kids will love the family park with sledding and tubing. Slopeside accommodation and wide range of dining options complete the offering of an ideal snow holiday destination.
