Chamonix, with its cobbled streets, is a charming historic town nestled in the French Alps at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe.  The riding is world-class with an extensive network of trails and lifts, the highest of which takes you up to a staggering 3,842 metres.  The off-piste skiing and snowboarding is also second to none.  Try the Vallee Blanche Glacier with one of the longest runs in the world and the legendary riding at the Grand Montets with its challenging wide open bowl.  There is a great variety of terrain for all standards of skiers and riders and complement by the vibrant town offering a variety of shops, museums, art galleries and spas; there is something for every taste.
