Grindelwald

Covering an area of 824 square kilometres, the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO-World Heritage site covers nearly all of the Bernese High Alps, boasting monumental rock massifs in the Cantons of Berne and Valais. Grindelwald also has a renowned après ski scene, with plenty of places to relax on a terrace in the sunshine, soaking in beautiful views of the mountains. Grindelwald has 30 lifts covering its 125 acres of terrain that is most suitable for beginner and intermediate levels, including terrain park enthusiasts. Experienced hikers can partake in a guided tour over the glacier Aletsch to experience the awe-inspiring dimensions of the surrounding mountains.

Why Grindelwald

Home to the world’s longest sled ride. Just over 15 kilometres long.

The setting is stunning & dramatic, beneath the north face of the Eiger.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, the 1969 James Bond classic, the villain’s lair is the rotating restaurant Piz Gloria on top of the Schilthorn.
